The SAIA Consumer Education Projects Report Back Function took place at the Johannesburg Country Club in Auckland Park on 26 October 2009.

Gallery Alcohol Testing Centre in Randburg 2009

The Randburg Alcohol Testing Centre was officially opened on 29 September 2009. This project was executed in partnership with the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) and Business Against Crime South Africa forms part of SAIA’s strategy to address motor issues.

The annual SAIA Assistants Lunch took place at the Silver Birch Tea Garden in the Lifestyle Garden Centre on Beyers Naude on 18 September 2009.

Gallery SAIA 2009 Donation to BACSA

The SAIA handed over its 8th annual contribution towards Business Against Crime South Africa (BACSA) at a cheque handover media event in Illovo on 14 May 2009. These funds will be used to contribute to a road safety initiative in co-operation with BACSA and the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD), as well as for BACSA’s Violent and Organised Crime Initiative which seeks to reduce the incidence of the trio crimes, namely, including aggravated vehicle crimes, business and household robberies.

Gallery Detective Training Graduation Ceremony

This ceremony took place at the Linder Auditorium in Parktown on Thursday, 26 February 2009 and was the culmination of a SAIA awareness project, facilitated by Business Against Crime South Africa (BACSA). Gauteng Premier, Mr Paul Mashatile, who delivered the keynote address specifically thanked SAIA for its financial contribution on behalf of its members and praised the short-term insurance industry for contributing towards such a worthy cause.
